The world's largest Marine Park is at the doorstep of Port Douglas. Port Douglas is the best location to visit the Great Barrier Reef.

Wildlife
Tropical North Queensland, including Port Douglas, is home to many different types of birds and butterflies. Kangaroos, Koalas, Snakes,
Lizards and Crocodiles are a regular part of everyday life. Visit one of the many Wildlife Parks in the area for your chance to interact
with a variety of species. Cuddle a Koala, hold a Snake or baby Crocodile and hand feed the Kangaroos — all fantastic photo
opportunities.
Beaches
Home to several of Tropical Far North Queensland's most beautiful beaches, perfect for swimming and picturesque photo opportunities.
Stingers inhabit the beaches in the warmer months (October to May), during which time stinger nets provide enclosed swimming areas for
safe enjoyment of the Coral Sea.
World Heritage Listed Daintree Rainforest
Enjoy the best that the Daintree and Cape Tribulation area has to offer. Set amongst the world’s oldest rainforest, take a guided tour or
self-drive at your own pace. Cross the Daintree River by ferry and wind your way through lush rainforest canopy, freshwater creeks and
spectacular lookouts. You may even spot the rare flightless cassowary.
4 Mile Beach
The calm waters of 4 Mile Beach make it a perfect family swimming spot. With shallow depths, breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, and

Port Douglas Sunday Markets
Held every Sunday morning in Anzac Park from 8am to around 2pm, the markets showcase local arts and crafts, souvenirs, fresh produce,
food and entertainment — all set against the pristine Coral Sea backdrop.

point at the northern end of Four
